Given to me by Candice Sorensen... THANK YOU!
Prep Time: 30min.
Cook time: 5-7min.
Difficulty: Easy.
Servings: 2 dozen.
Ingredients:
- 1 Cup Shortening
- 2 Whole Eggs
- 2 Teaspoons Vanilla
- 2 Cups Sugar
- 1 Cup Sour Cream
- 5-1/2 Cups Flour
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 2 Teaspoons Baking Soda
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 425°F. Cream together shortening, eggs, vanilla, and sugar. Add sour cream. Then in a separate bowl sift 4 cups flour, salt and baking soda. While stirring add to creamed mix. Add more flour to get a thicker consistency, but you don’t want it to be over floury, it should be a little sticky still. Ok, now spread some flour out on a flat surface. Take a handful of dough. I usually do enough to just make one pan about 6 per pan. Roll out your dough and cut whatever shape you like. I roll mine out kinda thick. They turn out soft and fluffy and mmmmmmmmm…
Bake 425°F for 5-7 min. They should look even in color, but not browning yet. Next make some yummy frosting and decorate with the kiddies!! Enjoy
